There are also many websites and books that help you learn more about your body’s fertility by monitoring your period, body temperature as well as your mucus.
Q: How are STD's spread?
A: STD's are spread through skin to skin contact, vaginal, anal and oral sex. Skin to skin contact, does not mean just walking up to someone and touching them; It means coming in contact with an infected area. HPV (Human Papilloma Virus) and Herpes are spread through skin to skin contact, which means it doesn't even take having sexual intercourse! Other STDs like Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV, Hepatitis B all are spread through bodily fluid like blood, urine, semen, and vaginal fluid and these are exchanged during oral, vaginal and anal sex.
Q: How many STD’s are there?
A: There are about 40 different kinds of STD’s, however, several of them have many various strains.
Q: Why does a pregnancy test come out inconclusive?
A: Sometimes tests do not take correctly. It could be that your HCG levels (the hormone your body produces when you are pregnant) are way down or it was a faulty test. It is possible for some ladies to need blood tests to confirm pregnancy.
Q: When is the best time to take a pregnancy test?
A: A test will read at its best when you are two weeks past your period due date. If your hormone levels are down, they will replenish within a few days. Contact us for a free pregnancy test, or to put you in contact with a clinic in your area.
